Join us for a hands-on evening of repair, community, and good food. Patagonia Provisions is teaming up with Hog Island Oyster Co. for our next repair workshop—because taking care of your gear (and the planet) should taste this good.Â
Â
In this 1.5-hour hand-sewing class participants will learn the visible mending technique of sashiko to reinforce thinning spots and holes in jeans. Participants will learn how to thread their needle, tie knots, running stitch, and will practice various geometric sashiko pattern designs on samplers. These samplers can be used as patches to attach to your garment, or, skip the sampler and practice these techniques directly on a pair of your jeans. Folks are encouraged to bring a pair of ripped jeans from their closet and actively apply their new skills to repair their piece. All materials will be provided.Â
Â
While you sew, we’ll keep you fueled with cold, crisp lager and a spread of conservas curated by Patagonia Provisions. Hog Island is shucking fresh oysters on the house—because every good repair deserves a good reward.
Space is limited, so RSVP is required. Please click the RSVP button at the top of the screen.Â
